Stephen Dewar - SOLICITOR AND COMMERCIAL CONSULTANT

Stephen specialises in commercial property and commercial contract work. He acts for landlords and tenants dealing with commercial leases and providing general property and acquisition advice. He is recognised for providing pragmatic and commercial solutions to client problems.

Stephen’s commercial contract work includes business terms and conditions and B2B relationships and he is a specialist in IT related contracts and website businesses.

Admitted as a solicitor in October 1990, Stephen has since worked in private practice and industry in London and the South East before establishing his own practice 8 years ago.

Previously a Partner in two practices, Stephen was responsible for building and marketing a commercial team. For six months he worked in-house for a City based plc guiding their e-commerce project.

He was then invited to join a national company as a Board director involved in the retail, trade and manufacturing sectors of the stone industry. He helped professionalise a group of companies with diverse interests and prepare them for a trade sale. He guided the group through improvements in marketing and advertising, strategic recruitment and the implementation of HR policies and IT resources before a successful sale.

Based on this experience and after running his own e-commerce company, Stephen now offers non-executive support as part of his consultancy services.
